About Hyperoche

Hyperoche is an independent software studio. We build native desktop software, and we build the engine, the UI framework, and the platform layer underneath it ourselves.

What we believe

Software should serve the person using it. Too much of it is built to extract — attention, data, a monthly fee — and the user's experience is whatever's left after those goals are met. We start from the other end: what does the person in front of the screen actually need, and what's the cleanest way to give it to them?

Privacy is architecture, not a policy. The strongest privacy guarantee is the data that was never collected and the request that never left the device. We design for that from the start, so privacy isn't a promise you have to trust — it's a consequence of how the software is built.

Quality comes from owning the foundation. We build our own engine and control our own stack because that's how you keep standards in your own hands. It's slower. It's also the only way we know to make things that are genuinely good rather than merely shipped.

You should own what you buy. Our paid software is sold as a one-time perpetual licence, not a subscription. It runs offline, it doesn't phone home to check whether you're still allowed to use it, and it keeps working whether or not this studio does.

What we build

Phengos — a local-first, bring-your-own-key AI workflow tool for Windows and Linux. Version 1.3.1 is available now, with a free Community edition and a one-time perpetual Pro licence.

Hyperoche Restaurant ERP — a fully offline ERP for single-site restaurant businesses, currently in active development, with regional handling for Britain, Ireland, Estonia, India, and Bhutan. A one-month trial is available before purchase so the decision can be an informed one — contact us to arrange it.

What we build for ourselves

Not everything we make is offered publicly, and that is a decision rather than a gap.

Tekton is the C++ IDE our own code is written in — CMake-native, with C++20 named modules treated as first-class rather than bolted on. It is not distributed. A tool that specialised earns a level of support and feature work we would rather put into the products we sell.

Hyperoche Engine is the Vulkan realtime engine and UI framework underneath everything on this site. It stays internal permanently; it is the foundation, not a product.

Both exist for the same reason: the alternatives shaped our work instead of serving it. Building them is why a business application from this studio starts fast and holds a consistent standard — see Technology.
